We have been so blessed this year with the incredible couples we have had the pleasure of working with for their weddings. After working with Brennan and Jessica for a couple years, capturing wonderful family photos and adorable photos of their little Maddy, they told us they couldn’t imagine anyone else capturing their wedding. We received an email last year, something along the lines of “we are getting married September 2, we want you to do the photos, tell us what we need to do next” hahah, the best kind of emails to receive!
After working out all the details (we were SO glad we were free!) we arrived to capture their wedding day. Grey Silo Golf and Country Club did an incredible job with the wedding, the decorations were perfect and we were even able to sneak outside for some photos between the rain!
Congratulations Jessica and Brennan, and thank you for having us capture this day for you! Enjoy your sneak peek!
A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of two friends of ours, and we knew it was going to be a great time! We first met Stephanie and Andrew back in high school, travelled to Cuba with them almost 10 years ago (MAN where did the time go?) and have seen their relationship change and grow over the years!
Steph and Andrew have been together for a LONG time… like a really long time, so it was fun to see them jump into the next stage of their life, and to be along to capture the fun! With the ceremony and reception both being held out at Puslinch Lake, with the sunset backdrop on their ceremony, it was beautiful.
Thank you so much for having us along for the ride, enjoy your sneak peek!!
This summer we were honoured to capture some STUNNING weddings! When Stefanie approached us about capturing her wedding, we were really excited. Not only have I (Christine) known Stefanie for a very long time, way back to our softball days (her dad was my coach!) but also throughout high school as well. It was great catching up with her.
Knowing how important this video was for Buddy, and for his family overseas that were not able to attend the wedding, James worked hard to capture all the details, all the love and all the beauty. Congratulations Stef & Buffy, and thank you for having us capture these moments for you ❤ We can’t wait for you to see your full length video!
Michelle and Derek have worked with us for a few years, through maternity photos, baby photos, events and holidays, we have captured them and their two adorable little boys! When we received the call that they were getting married, and looking for an engagement session, we were so incredibly happy for them! We planned a winter engagement session, as they are going away to a nice hot destination for their wedding, and wanted something different for the engagement session.
As many of you know, this winter in Waterloo region has been incredibly strange, with very little snow to speak of! When we woke on the day of their engagement session, it was exciting, we took off to the Huron Natural Area in Kitchener and loved the result. often, photos can speak better than words …
congratulations!!! Thank you for trusting us to capture all these memories for you over the years!
What do you get when you encounter a short time frame for photos, a couple moving hours away, rainy weather and a booked engagement session? Creativity!!
Knowing Daniel and Ellen, their hopes for something “different” in their engagement session, and a short time frame in which to accomplish the session before they were moving up to Ottawa (literally 2 days after the session!!), it was a lot of fun to come up with an indoor engagement session location. Given that Daniel is a writer and Ellen works in politics, the library seemed like a great alternative to the snowy winter scene we had been hoping for. Mother nature has a way of dictating things or changing plans, but this change in plans made for some incredible photos. It is hard to believe that a small community library could be such a beautiful option.
Congratulations on your engagement, and we can’t wait to capture the wedding in May. A huge thank you to the Hespeler Public Library for allowing us to use your beautiful library for the session!
Early last year we were approached by Jay and Lisa, asking us to capture their Halloween wedding. Having known both of them for a long time (since high school), and their absolute love of Halloween, we knew that this was going to be one amazing, unique and fun wedding. That expectation was completely blown out of the water, with all the guests dressed in costume, a casket full of candy, over the top decorations and an incredible love and party atmosphere.
The tears were flowing freely (even though her dad tried really hard not to lose his bet of $60), the love was palpable in the room Lisa said many times that the entire day was “More incredible than I could have ever imagined” and we were so happy to be there, capturing the moments as they happened ❤ Thank you so much for choosing us to capture this incredible day!!
The day started out beautifully, and as I arrived at the bride’s preparation site, the skies opened up and is rained… a LOT.. we are talking pure torrential, flood the roads kind of rain. As a photographer, I watched the bride’s face drop, and we scrambled for some sheets and garbage bags. Thankfully, the wonderful staff at the Kettle Creek Inn saved the day! Wrapping the bride in a garbage bag is always an addition to our photography services haha, but it made for some great laughs. The staff helped to escort the bride and bridesmaid out to the car under a giant umbrella, and off we went for plan B… first look at the Kettle Creek Golf and Country Club in Port Stanley.
The bride was pretty sad, as she had been looking forward to a first look on the beach and her outdoor ceremony, but she had some angels looking out for her. As we arrived at the Country club, the clouds quickly cleared, the sun came out and the rain dried up really quickly. The staff at the country club dried off all the chairs and pulled it off without a hitch! Her dream of an outdoor ceremony came true, and it was perfect 🙂
Later in the evening, as the sun was setting, I snuck the bride and groom away for a few sunset photos on the beach. It was absolutely worth it, and made for some beautiful photos… the rain earlier had cleared out most of the people on the beach, and left us with a perfect sunset session, as they enjoyed some quiet peaceful time together after the scramble of the day!
Congratulations guys, and thank you so much for having me there to capture the moments and enjoy some laughter!!
